Lady Bits and my favorite, Yoni… the list goes on!

Considering this is part of a woman’s body people have in general been afraid to talk about since the beginning of time, our Vulva has no shortage of nicknames. Yes, vulva is what I’m hearing is the correct term for what was formerly known as our vagina. It’s a little weird to me though that education and information are pretty scarce when it comes to a young woman learning about her Lady Dbl V, as in Vulva + Vagina. I mean, a great deal of time went into giving our girl every other name possible so as to avoid saying vagina (when we were calling her by just her one part).

In school I learned more about the function of and what got a penis aroused but was left with unanswered questions on what got the Lady Dbl V to feel pleasure. As far as I knew she was a portal for the penis to enter and for a baby to exit. She bled once a month (don’t get me started on the negative menstrual narrative) and seemed to be able to experience pleasure but only if a penis was involved. That’s it. No information on how to pleasure her or even that she has over 8,000 nerve endings in her clitoris region alone – double the amount of nerve endings in a penis. I mean, this is information that may have been important in shaping not only my early experiences with sex but my perspective of my participation and expectations around my personal pleasure.  And don’t get me started on all the rude nasty things said about our Lady Dbl V regarding her smell or appearance and whether she should be left au natural or waxed to baldness.

Not until I was in my 30’s did I hear that women not being able to have a vaginal orgasm was normal. “Oh, so you mean to tell me there’s actually nothing wrong with me for not orgasming during general sex as one ex-boyfriend insinuated?” Yes it would have been great to know that it’s not unusual not because we’re particularly complicated but because no one took the time to understand what we needed. And yeah, it would have been amazing to know that sexual energy was some of the most potent energy to manifest with. Yup, all good things to know.

Oh Lady Dbl V, society has done you wrong girl. They’ve used your slang term Pussy to define  weakness, foolishly overlooking how incredibly strong and resilient you are. Society was taught to disrespect you and your blood magic. Let’s look at the facts though, what typically happens anytime society fears something? We attempt to dismiss it and disempower it. Now what’s exciting to see is that we, women, have been figuring out the lie and the truth withheld. There is something in the air and energy, for the last few years permeating our atmosphere. And it’s the energy of us waking up and realizing the truth. That we hold between our legs the portal that brings souls from other realms into this world. That we’re the only ones with a literal pleasure button, the Queen, the glorious clitoris. That we should know our vulva and all parts of her better than our lovers, aesthetician and gynecologist.

That we were powerful all along.

They just didn’t want us to know.

I’m excited to announce that I am becoming a sexuality certified coach this year. This knowledge will help me build out the message and vision of Pure Mvmnt. I want my students to fall in love with every part of them. Pure Mvmnt Immersion is about celebrating and cultivating some big yoni energy this year. Join the sister circle, look out for the next Pure Mvmnt 6 Week Immersion ONLINE. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be offering this as a self guided course as well this fall.
